Work That Reconnects in Public Spaces

Online brainstorming & discussion session

February 25th | 6-7:30PM ET | Zoom

There is so much grief in many of our personal lives, and in the collective sphere as well. Sometimes, being able to speak to our grief in the supportive presence of others can help us to not feel so alone in it. Join us on for an ongoing series of online spaces to gather and express grief. This session will be facilitated by Interhelp Board member Joseph Rotella.

A weekend residential workshop at Woolman Hill

Join us March 6th-8th for a weekend workshop journeying the spiral of the Work That Reconnects at the beautiful Woolman Hill retreat center in Deerfield, MA. Through the spiral of the Work That Reconnects and our connections with each other and the web of life, we will explore the questions of how do we hospice what is dying and midwife what is being born?

This will be a time for reflection and connection, discernment and visioning, renewal and recharging. We will explore tools and teachings for the work ahead of living into the Great Turning.

The program is being organized by seasoned facilitators Anne Goodwin, Aravinda Ananda, Joseph Rotella and ELC VI alum Eleanor Reid, and will include facilitation by the four of them as well as other regional facilitators.

Friday, March 27 (starting late afternoon) – Sunday, March 29 (ending in the evening)

Cambridge Cohousing in Porter Square

Follow-up integration call: A two-hour Zoom gathering on Sunday, April 12th, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm

We will move through the Work That Reconnects spiral — a group-based modality for collective grief work and resilience rooted in the teachings of Joanna Macy – to process climate emotions and the metacrisis in community, with an explicit anti-oppression framework and a focus on “Holding Actions,” the forms of resistance and protection that interrupt business as usual. Vegan meals (GF options), wheelchair accessible venue, and neurodivergent-friendly pacing. Sliding scale $0–$500 with no-cost scholarships for BIPOC participants and for low-income/low-wealth participants. Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions plus the integration call.

Facilitated by Julia Levine and Alex Chambers.
